When it comes to magic in Melbourne, no month is bigger than July! Now in its eleventh year, the Melbourne Magic Festival rolls into town from July 2 to 14 and promises to take you to the extreme end of visual theatre with over 300 performances of 65 different shows including top international guest magicians from all over the world!

To celebrate this magical time of year, our July edition of Top Hat Tuesday will be a thrilling Magic Festival Showcase! Hosted by Dom Chambers, you’ll witness a tantalising taste of some of this year’s most highly anticipated shows, and all for a fraction of the cost of a full show ticket. You’d have to be bananas to miss it!

  • Bodane Hatten – A Sleightly Funny Magic Show: From Australia’s Got Talent to headlining cruise ships, Bodane began his career annoying family members and driving away friends with his tricks and pranks. His favourite highlight is blue. With his Top Hat Tuesday debut, he is looking forward to stealing yet another glass from a bar to be added to his collection.
  • David Kaufman – Favole: After the success of Incantato, Davide returns with Favole, a show that brings to life the folklore of Italian songs and stories, translated into English for the very first time. Favole will introduce you to an Italy far removed from pizza, pasta and La Dolce Vita. Fables of mystery, love, tragedy and the occult are brought to life in a performance laced with Davide’s trademark humour, intoxicating charm and an accent that can only be real.
  • Brendan Dooley – Cheeky, Quirky and Classy: Awarded New Zealand’s Best Comedy Magician and direct from his tour of Asia, Brendan arrives onshore for a debut Melbourne season. With elements of cheekiness, quirkiness and pure class, he combines non-traditional magic, original quick wit comedy, cheeky pickpocketing and insane stunts to create not just a show but an experience that will not soon be forgotten!
  • Lawrence Leung – Unthinkable: From the creator of last year’s hit show Very Strange Things (2017 MMF Directors Choice Award 2017, Best Comedy Nominee 2018 Fringe World) comes Unthinkable. An unbelievable evening of twisted experiments, psychological game-play and intimate investigations into bizarre coincidence and unusual phenomena. The beginning is unexplainable, the ending is unthinkable.

Tickets are on sale now, so don’t miss this unique opportunity to catch four shows in one as Top Hat Tuesday helps to celebrate another exciting Melbourne Magic Festival!
